The ROYJEN Charter Boat is fully registered and insured to transport 12 Passengers and cargo for tourism to and from: Sabang, Port Barton, San Vicente, San Vicente chain of islands, and El Nido.

The ROYJEN is a custom built 56', 5-Ton, double-deck, outrigger, with cabin, kitchen, toilet and electricity.  She is manned by 4-5 trustworthy crewmen, and powered by a Mitsubishi (Fuso) 4DR7 diesel engine, with a top cruising speed of about 15 knots.  

The most unique features of the ROYJEN is her 2nd deck for unobstructed views, and her specially designed hardwood balancer that keeps her very stable in the water.

In Sabang, there are about 45 "Park Ferry Service" Boats registered to transport passengers for tourism to and from the Underground River, which is about a 5 km (20 minute) voyage.  These boats are all about the same, so it makes no difference which one you go on.  They are the perfect size for getting in and out of the rocky pier, but not registered to carry passengers and cargo on long voyages to Port Barton and El Nido.

There are only a few charter boats registered for transporting passengers and cargo for tourism to Port Barton, and El Nido, and the ROYJEN was built for tourism, while the others are converted fishing boats.  The difference is great, but the fare is about the same.

As soon as you step foot in Sabang, you'll be greeted by friendly commissioners, who will show you to a resort, and assist you in carrying out your travel plans.  If you plan on going to Coconut Garden, Port Barton, and El Nido by charter boat, they will advise you to book and pay in advance, because seats are limited.  You'll need to pay in advance, to include a non-refundable 10% booking fee.

Book by email and save.  No additional booking fee is applied.  Just provide us your names, the number of people in your party, and the estimated date of your arrival in Sabang.  

The charter boats depart from the Sabang Pier, or from the beach in front of Roberts Resort at about 7:00 a.m.

Port Barton is a quiet fishing village with some very nice resorts.  It lays inside a large bay protected by an outer chain of islands. The shore at Port Barton beach is usually calm, making it good for embarking or disembarking passengers, and safe for swimming.

 

Coconut Garden Island Resort is a well kept resort on a safe, unspoiled island.  The water is clear and refreshing.  It's the perfect stop-over, directly between Sabang and El Nido. 

 

In El Nido there are many boats registered for El Nido Island Hopping.  They also have a big boat that transports passengers to and from the Island of Coron, but they have no charter boats in El Nido making regular voyages to Port Barton and Sabang.  The El Nido Art Cafe, can book you on a charter boat returning to Port Barton or Sabang.

The ROYJEN offers Bay Trolling to a maximum of 4 passengers at a time on all charters.  The fee for Bay Trolling is an additional P500 per four hours on Day Charters to other ports, or P1,000 per hour on a Sabang Activity Charter.  The fish you catch may be taken back to your resort, or prepared and served on board the ROYJEN.

• The hourly fares listed above are per boat and not per person.
• Time of Departure and Return is Flexible.
• Maximum 4 fishermen per Charter, but companions are welcome and the sharing of poles is okay.
  
• Activities may be included in your Day Voyages to other ports for just P500 per participant.  However, all passengers must agree to allow for the extra time.
• The Activity Charter Hourly Fares are priced to compare with the (minimum accepted) on Day Voyage Charters in terms of engine run time and total operating cost.  Depending on actual operating costs, the cost of your charter may be discounted, but never increased. 
• Price of Snorkeling and Sport Fishing could be considerably less depending on fuel consumed and other operating costs. It basically works out to P500 per one gallon of diesel consumed.  This pays for fuel and boat rental. Plus P500 per hour for other operating expenses, such as, crewmen salaries, provisions, ice and equipment rental. 

From Sabang, we recommend an Activity Charter to include all four activities.

We make a very large circle around the picturesque St. Paul Bay, taking you to remote island beaches, beautiful coral gardens, Isla Garcia, sea side caves, cliffs and waterfalls.  In the middle, we take you out for a try at deep water jigging with the opportunity of landing a trophy catch.  Between each location you can take turns at trolling for tuna, jacks, wahoo, and barracuda.  Full circle takes 6 - 10 hours.  Half circle takes 4 - 6 hours.  Half circle goes either northeast or southwest.

A limited supply of Fishing and Snorkeling gear is available on board.  So, we encourage you to bring your own gear.

Notes: 

1.  Departure of all Charters is dependent upon the weather and condition of the sea.  The safety of  ROYJEN  Passengers is our #1 concern.  

2.  The ROYJEN does not operate on a set schedule, but rather, only when a booking is made.

3.  Boarding time for Day Charters is at 7:00 a.m.. Boarding time for Activity Charters is more flexible.

4.  The Voyage from Sabang to Coconut Garden is about 3 hrs, and Sabang to Port Barton is about  4 hrs.

5.  The voyage from Sabang to El Nido is very long and remote. Depending on conditions, it can take 7 - 9 hours.  Conditions often change quickly in the afternoon.  Therefore, we highly recommend a delightful stopover at Coconut Garden or Port Barton.

6.  Book by email to receive a discount, when  no booking/commissioners fee is applied.  Just provide us your names and when you expect to arrive in Sabang.

7.  Bring a copy of the ROYJEN flier with you.  Look for the ROYJEN from the beach in Sabang and wave for assistance, or text ROYJEN on your mobile.

8.  If you make booking by email, or directly with the ROYJEN Crew, all Fares and Charges will be collected on board at the end of your charter, and no additional booking fee is applied. 

9.  Booking can also be made through your resort or at a booking office in Sabang, Port Barton, or El Nido.  However, you may need to pay in advance, a 10% booking fee is applied, and the rates are subject to change.
